Tech Firm CLO Keeps on Rising

CLO to become Executive Vice President and General Counsel

Just when people thought Mallard Computer, Inc.'s Chief Legal Officer, Janie Evins, couldn't get any higher up the corporate ladder, the tech firm announced at a recent business meeting that in addition to holding the title of CLO, she would also serve as the company's Executive Vice President of Legal and Governmental Affairs, as well as the company's General Counsel.

"Janie is just plain brilliant when it comes to legal matters", stated Nathan Parker, Mallard's President/CEO. "Her knowledge of intellectual property matters and general corporate knowledge earn her position at the company. She's worked long and hard for us, and it's great to get to give her the promotions and recognition she needs."

Parker went on to explain that Evins will also be the first Executive Vice President for the company due to the fact that the position of Executive Vice President/COO has yet to be filled.

"I've been running the executive position as a one man operation for quite a while now," the eighteen year old executive went on to explain. "Since we don't have our COO and Vice President to fill my shoes in place yet, it's important to establish a Vice Presidential position that would so that there is someone there to fill my shoes in the event it's needed. I've seen what's happened to other executives such as Apple's Steve Jobs, and I'd hate for Mallard to be without quality leadership just because the CEO was unable to fulfill his duties. While I'm in better health than some CEO's, I've had some health issues in the past with my Glucose Intolerance, as well as having knee surgery back in 2006, so there's always the possibility I could become ill and have to step away for a while. It's certainly time Mallard has some executive to back me up in the company, and right now, there's no better person for that position than Janie Evins."

Evins has held numerous positions in the past, including Corporate Attorney, Attorney handling the registration and protection of Mallard's Intellectual Property, most recently being promoted to the company's Board of Directors and becoming the company's Chief Legal Officer, now becoming the Executive Vice President of Legal and Government Affairs and General Counsel, as well as remaining the company's CLO.
